HUGE Donation to the Hope Center!

The Hope Center was gifted the best Christmas and 25th birthday present!

Reid Health’s Governing Board voted to donate the building at 2004 Indiana Avenue to the Hope Center. Hope Center Executive Director Jennifer Young found out on December 23rd that it had been approved.

“Reid Health invest into our community on an ongoing basis. They have a desire to partner with local non-profits for the betterment of our community. Young said.

“Billie Kester, Vice President of Continuum of Care for Reid Health, was instrumental in making this transfer happen. We appreciate her so much.” Young said.

“We’re thrilled to be able to help the Hope Center move to a new location that will allow them to better serve the community,” said Billie Kester. “We’re excited to see the property used for needed services once again.”

“This building means growth for the Hope Center. This building represent LIFE for our community. Hope=Life!” Young said. “By moving into this building, on this highly visible corner, we will be able to reach more people in need of our free and confidential services.”

Renovations will be made by community volunteers over the coming months, with new interior paint, flooring, and HVAC system, a rebuilt front deck at the front entrance, and so much more.

“We’ll do a little at a time as monetary donations are received.” Young shared. “Continual improvements over the next few years is our goal.”

The Hope Center offers free and confidential services including pregnancy tests, limited OB ultrasounds, STI testing, parenting and life skills classes. They see clients from Fayette, Union, Rush, Franklin and Wayne Counties and on average range from

875-1,000 appointments every year.

If you would like to partner with the Hope Center and invest in our community please visit their website at hopecenterlife.com or call 765-825-1244.

Building donation is both a Christmas and a birthday present

A Connersville pro-life pregnancy resource center will be able to grow thanks to a building donation from Reid Health that represents a bit of both a Christmas and a birthday present for the organization.

Reid is donating the facility at 2004 Indiana Ave. to Hope Center, which offers free, confidential services including pregnancy tests, sexually transmitted infection testing, some ultrasounds, and parenting and life skills classes.

Hope Center Executive Director Jennifer Young found out just before Christmas the Reid Health Board of Governors had approved the donation.

“It’s the best Christmas present ever!” she said. “By moving into this facility on this highly visible corner, we’ll be able to reach more people in need of our services. This building means growth for the Hope Center, and it represents life for our community.”

The organization is celebrating 25 years of existence this year, making the donation a gift for multiple occasions.

Reid came into possession of the building at 2004 Indiana Ave. when the health system assumed ownership of the former Fayette Regional Health System in 2019. Since it didn't fit current needs, Reid leadership decided to find an organization that could put it to good use.

“We’re thrilled to be able to help Hope Center move to a new location that will allow them to better serve the community,” said Billie Kester, Vice President of Continuum of Care for Reid Health. “We’re excited to see the property used for needed services once again.”

Renovations will be made by community volunteers over the coming months, with new paint, flooring, an HVAC system, a rebuilt deck at the front entrance, and more in the plans.

“We’ll do a little at a time as monetary donations are received,” Young said. “Continual improvement over the next few years is our goal.”
